Refund Policy
Brinno Content Platform
Updated: June 9, 2026
1. General Policy
All fees paid for the Brinno Content Platform's subscription services (the "Service") are generally non-refundable once activated, except as described in this policy or as required by applicable law.
2. Subscription Plans
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis as specified in the Service. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
3. Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
- Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
- No partial or prorated refunds will be issued for unused time remaining in a billing cycle.
4. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds may be granted under the following circumstances:
- Duplicate charges: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period, we will refund the duplicate amount.
- Service unavailability: If the Platform experiences a major outage or service failure lasting more than 72 consecutive hours that prevents you from using core features, you may request a prorated refund for the affected period.
- Unauthorized charges: If a charge was made without your authorization, contact us within 30 days of the charge.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Partial billing periods after voluntary cancellation.
- Charges for periods or plan downgrades where the Service is available and functioning normally.
- One-time purchases such as additional storage or AI analysis credits that have already been consumed.
- Account suspensions or terminations resulting from a violation of our Terms of Use.
6. Plan Downgrades
If you downgrade your subscription plan, the change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No refund or prorated credit for the price difference will be issued during the current billing cycle, as the reduced rate will only apply to and be charged at the start of the subsequent billing cycle.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact our support team by email at cloud.support@brinno.com. The email should include your account information, the date of the charge, and the reason for your refund request. We will review your request and respond within 10 business days. Eligible refunds as described in section 4 will be credited to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your financial institution.
8. Free Tier Usage and Subscription Trials
Free tier usage and subscription trial periods do not involve any charges and are therefore not subject to this Refund Policy. Users will not be charged after a free trial period expires unless they have explicitly authorized a transition to a paid subscription.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
10. Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court.
